Timing

Photography is all about timing.  If you are not patient and not ready, you could miss a great opportunity.  This situation was such when I went up the grotto (a mountain trail) with some friends.  We enjoyed the waterfall and played in the water, just having a great time.  After we had started heading to the car, I saw a beautiful butterfly that blew past us.  It landed, and my friend picked up a rock to throw it at it.  I whipped out my camera, and snapped a picture.  I was really surprised to find that the picture turned out great:

What does this have to do with the right timing?  I (luckily) had my camera on and ready to go when needed and also used this to my advantage.  It is always good to have your camera on and ready for a split-second that you could have a great picture.

Now go enjoy nature and see how fast you and your camera can be.

Today, I would like to talk about animals and how beautiful they can be with the right lighting and camera.  I have a Nikon D5000 and it is a really well made camera.  We were at the Zoo and I was snapping pictures when I saw a bobcat.  This animal is beautiful and elegant.  You can tell in the picture that I took of it here:

Modifying the pictures is also a big part in making them amazing.  I use Picasa 3 with my pictures and it seems to be doing the job.

In this picture, one can see that each hair is distinct on the bobcats head.  It jumps out at you and grabs your attention so that you will notice the picture.  The color, detail, and way you take the picture are all fun to research and know so that you can get a masterpiece like this picture.

Now, grab your camera and see what pictures you can bring home.

Photography is simply amazing.  In a split second, you can have a image that will be there forever, for the present and future generations to enjoy.   Through detail and expertise, pictures can come through as expressions.  Life can be see differently through photography.  Many people ask "How"?

The "How" is answered in this picture. This picture of my brother is one of my favorites because he is surrounded by nature and it looks like he is in deep thought.  It tells the story of his love of the things around him.  How the pictures turn out are all up to you.  Now, get out your camera and go snap some pictures that can be treasured for generations.
