Photography is all about timing. If you are not patient and not ready,
you could miss a great opportunity. This situation was such when I went
up the grotto (a mountain trail) with some friends. We enjoyed the
waterfall and played in the water, just having a great time.
After we had started heading to the car, I saw a beautiful butterfly that
blew past us. It landed, and my friend picked up a rock to throw it at
it. I whipped out my camera, and snapped a picture. I was
really surprised to find that the picture turned out great:
What does this have to do with the right timing? I (luckily) had my camera on and ready to go when needed and also used this to my advantage. It is always good to have your camera on and ready for a split-second that you could have a great picture.
Now go enjoy nature and see how fast you and your camera can be.
